In short: SELENE keeps only what it needs to plan your trip and write it into your own Notion. It does not sell your data, show ads, use tracking cookies, or use your data to train AI models. Email hello@selenetrip.com to have everything deleted.
Who we are
SELENE (selenetrip.com) is a trip-planning service run by an independent developer. “We” and “us” mean SELENE. Questions about this policy go to hello@selenetrip.com.
What we collect and why
- Your account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account ID. We use them to keep you signed in and to keep your trips separate from everyone else’s.
- Your Notion connection. When you connect Notion, we store an access token, encrypted, so SELENE can write to the pages you allowed. We only read and write the SELENE travel template you shared (trips, saved ideas and itinerary). You can remove access at any time in Notion’s Settings → Connections.
- Lists you import. We store the Google Maps list links you paste and the places read from them (names, addresses, coordinates, categories, ratings, opening hours and your own notes on the list), plus the plan choices you make (days, pace, stays, must-dos), so plans can be rebuilt and saved.
- Pages you save. If you use the save button on a web page, we receive that page’s address, title and any text you selected, and write them to your Notion.
- A list-reader token, only if you add one. If you connect your own Apify account, its token is stored encrypted.
- Technical logs. Our host keeps short-lived request logs (such as errors and timings) to keep the service running.
Cookies and storage in your browser
We set one cookie, to keep you signed in (it lasts up to 30 days, or until you sign out). The planner also saves your current plan choices in your browser so a refresh does not lose them. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else processes your data
- Cloudflare hosts SELENE and its database.
- Google handles sign-in.
- Notion stores what SELENE writes, in your own workspace, under Notion’s own terms.
- Apify reads the public Google Maps lists you import. It receives the list link, not your account details.
- A payment provider, once paid plans start, will process payments; we will not see or store your card details.
We share data with these services only to run SELENE. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account data, connections, imported lists and plans are kept while your account exists. Short-lived import records and sign-in requests expire on their own. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove it and its stored data from our database within 30 days. What SELENE already wrote into your Notion stays there, under your control.
Your choices
- Disconnect Notion at any time in Notion’s Settings → Connections.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing hello@selenetrip.com. We answer within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights under local law; we honor them on request.
Security
Connection tokens are encrypted before they are stored, traffic uses HTTPS, and access is limited to what each feature needs. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will tell you.
Children
SELENE is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell signed-in users about important changes.
